Hi all,

I'm looking for people who are familiar with the makam music system and are interested in playing ottoman pieces, taksims and folk tunes from the middle east, Greece and the Balkans. I myself play the oud at an amateur intermediate level and it would be great to find like-minded people who play other middle eastern melodic instruments (e.g. Kanun, Ney, etc.) and percussion.  Any other instruments are of course welcome!
