Universitätsorchester Polyphonia Zürich
Das UO Polyphonia Zürich ist ein junges Sinfonieorchester aus Studierenden, Mitarbeitenden und Alumni*ae der ETH und der UZH. Wir treffen uns während des Semesters wöchentlich, um in einer freundlichen, aber durchaus auch ambitionierten Atmosphäre zusammen Musik zu machen. Am Ende des Semesters bringen wir das erarbeitete Programm mit Werken der Klassik und Romantik zur Aufführung.
Je nach Instrument veranstalten wir Vorspiele im Quartettsetting (Violine, Viola, Violoncello), die je nach Anzahl Bewerbungen auch kompetitiv sind. Bei Blasinstrumenten erfolgen die Vorspiele je nach Instrument und Andrang ebenfalls im Quartett oder einzeln. Der Platz ist beschränkt, aber wir brauchen jedes Semester wieder ein paar Leute – also melde dich einfach, wenn du Interesse hast!

The UO Polyphonia Zurich is a young symphony orchestra consisting of students, staff and alumni*ae of ETH and UZH. We meet weekly during the semester to make music together in a friendly, but also ambitious atmosphere. At the end of the semester, we perform the program we have worked out with works from the classical and romantic periods.
Depending on the instrument, we organize auditions in a quartet setting (violin, viola, cello), which are sometimes competitive, depending on the number of applications. For wind instruments, auditions are also held in quartet or individually, depending on the instrument and the number of applicants. Space is limited, but we need a few more people each semester - so just get in touch if you're interested!
