Project description:

In the scope of a PhD thesis at the seminar of Statistics, ETH, Zurich on estimation in a particular class of multivariate probability distributions, a large number of lyrics from Frank Sinatra's songs were gathered from the web. A new set of lyrics were randomly generated according to the estimated distribution of occurrences of the words (viewed as 4-dimensional objects) in the gathered lyrics.  The number of words was chosen to match those occurring in Frank Sinatra's song New York. A poem was written using the generated new lyrics, and is awaiting a beautiful voice to be sung a la Sinatra to the music of New York.
