Hi all,
I've been organizing regular music salons (every three to four weeks mostly) with a few musical friends. We usually meet in the music room at Honggerberg on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon, and it lasts for 2-3 hours.
Everyone can perform one or two pieces that she/he has been practicing recently. People can also try to get some feedbacks if they want (but not necessarily). People can also talk about the piece they performed (simple music analysis, or just feelings about it or some interesting aspects of the piece). It's quite informal, the pieces that you play don't have to be in good quality already, it can be something that you are still working on. Mostly people play classical music, sometimes also jazz or movie music. Usually we have 5 to 8 people each time (wearing masks during covid). Sometimes we also play some music games, e.g., one person could play a short passage of music and have one word in mind to describe the music, the others will try to guess the word. It's also a good chance to get to know other musical people and find partners for chamber music!
If anyone is interested in joining us, please write to jiajing.feng@uzh.ch. Any instrument is welcomed, any level is welcomed, we are all amateur players:)
