Ciao everyone,

Kind of an odd proposition, but if you want to learn drums/piano/jazz music theory I could teach you! And in exchange, i'd love to learn some pure/proof based mathematics. 

me: I play piano at a pretty decent level (as in, can go to jazz clubs to play/solo over band when I travel, and have traveled myself with a big band) though mostly I like composition. I believe I can teach a nice intro to jazz harmony as well as in connection to classical harmony, as I've studied counterpoint, in a very STEM friendly (harmonics, and then sort of symmetries, etc) way if you like asking questions and deep understanding. So if you have ever looked at playing "jazzy" or harmonizing in more interesting ways (even if you like the singer-songwriter genre) I can probably take you there. As for drums, I mostly play nu-jazz/linear dumming. I myself am learning continuous chops and improving 4 way independence, so in this regard I could probably only teach drum beginners/intermediates. 

I have in theory the basics (Analysis 1,2 + Complex and Linalg 1,2), but continued in more applied stuff and looking to just learn more proof based maths. I'm open to learning about anything (if i can understand it) but I'm particularly interested in the analysis track (some refreshment of what I should already know, measure theory, Hilbert and banach, etc). But if there is a topic you particularly like/think you understand well and I can follow the proofs, then by all means.

I live in a Woko with a Music room with decent drum kit and my Nord Grand, which is where I would prefer to meet. How often we meet is up to you, probably would be an hour of maths, followed by an hour of music (or viceversa).
