Hello humans (and birds)!

We are 13th Warbler, an operatic prog metal band composed by 5 (vocal, guitar, bass, keyboard and drums) ETH students and alumni. Our drummer finished his PhD and is unfortunately moving away, so we are looking for a new drummer.

We write our own music where we like to mix elements, change time signatures and explore the contrast of heavy instrumentals with the soprano voice of our singer. We have three songs released (see our socials in the end) and we are recording others to release an album with 13 original songs in 2026. We are also trying to get to play in small festivals in Switzerland and Germany for next summer. 

Musically, our new drummer needs to be able to play with double bass and play in odd signatures. We like to mix many ideas, so if you are a creative person that likes to explore different musicalities, even better. We are not professionals, but we have all the plans listed above, so it would be cool if you are also motivated to develop with us. Personally, we are open, diverse mix of people (7 different nationalities in 5 people!) with different levels of nerdiness. So if you are open, like metal and like to play music, there are big chances we will vibe :D
